German manufacturing company FAM has extended its sponsorship deal with FC Magdeburg.

The new deal, thought to be worth €150,000, will see FAM become the main shirt sponsor of the German club for the 2015/16 season.

The club took up a one-year option to extend the deal with FAM that had been inserted as a clause in an initial deal signed in October 2014. That agreement saw FAM become a premium partner (second level) and a jersey sponsor of the club for games in the DFB Cup, the national German club cup competition.

Last year Magdeburg gained promotion to the 3.Liga, the third tier of professional soccer in Germany.
