Spanish goalkeeper Kiko Casilla
Kiko Casilla has left Espanyol to rejoin Spanish
giants Real Madrid, Espanyol president Joan Collet said Friday.
According to media reports, Real will pay Espanyol 6.5 million euros
(7.1 million dollars) for the 28 year-old keeper, who made his Spain
debut in 2014 against world champions Germany.
Casilla was in Real's youth teams between 2004 and 2007 before
leaving for Espanyol, for whom he made 115 appearances.
In the Real squad Casilla will take the place of veteran Iker
Casillas, who has left on a free transfer for Porto after 16 seasons
at the Estadio Bernabeu.
Casilla was due to fly out to Australia later Friday to join Real's
summer tour.
Real are also reportedly interested in Manchester United goalkeeper
David de Gea.
