Sweden captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic was selected Tuesday for two decisive Euro 2016 qualifiers against Russia and Austria despite recently being sidelined with injury. "The pressure is on," national coach Erik Hamren said of next month's matches. "If we win, we will have qualified for the Euro finals." Sweden are second in qualification Group G, four points behind Austria but the same margin above third-placed Russia. The top two qualify for the finals in France automatically. Sweden travel to Russia for the September 5 match. Three days later they host Austria. Striker Ibrahimovic could return to action for his French side Paris St Germain this weekend. "He is really motivated," the Sweden coach added. Two new additions to Hamren's squad were promising midfielders Oscar Lewicki and Abdul Khalili, who featured in the Sweden side that won the Under-21 European Championship in the Czech Republic in June. | |||||
