Wolfsburg sport director Klaus Allofs said Thursday he expects star winger Kevin de Bruyne to play against Cologne on Saturday - despite a media report from England claiming he will have signed for Manchester City by then. "He will be there," Allofs stated when asked at a news conference if De Bruyne would feature in the Bundesliga this weekend. Earlier Thursday the English tabloid newspaper The Sun claimed De Bruyne was expected in Manchester on Friday to complete a transfer to City worth 70 million euros (78.2 million dollars). "Apparently it seems that everyone has lost perspective of this story," Allofs said. "Nevertheless we will try to keep a clear head." Allofs declined to offer further information on the status of the Belgian international, saying that was what started rumours. | |||||
