Mario Goetze is already planning his return from a torn adductor muscle which will likely sideline him for the rest of the year, his Germany and Bayern Munich team-mate Manuel Neuer said on Saturday. "Of course you are downcast at first because he is aware what he faces. (But) He is a pro and has already set up a plan how to return," the goalkeeper Neuer told a news conference ahead of Germany's final Euro 2016 qualifier against Georgia. Goetze was substituted in the first half of Germany's 1-0 defeat in Ireland on Thursday after being injured in a seemingly innocuous clash with an opponent. The Bundesliga leaders Munich announced the nature of the injury on Friday. Germany coach Joachim Loew before the winter break which starts on December 20. "We were all shocked by Mario's severe injury. It is a pity because Mario had good form after a a few frustrating weeks, not only with us but at Bayern as well," Loew said. Apart from the next Germany and Bundesliga games, the 23-year-old will miss Bayern's German Cup second round clash with Wolfsburg in addition to their final four Champions League group matches. Goetze has scored four goals for Bayern this season in 12 competitive games. | |||||
